Custom faceup commissions and body blushing for resin BJDs by Liv.

This is a custom painted faceup service for 1/6-1/3 scale heads and full dolls.

Requirements:

By purchasing you understand that :

All BJDs sent MUST be legitimate. Recasts are NEVER accepted.

After you fill out the form below, we will contact you in the best way for you, confirm ideas and specific details and we will let you know when you will send out your doll.

FACEUP TYPES:

Basic:

Head: Limited/no skin texturing, light blushing, eyelashes (may add light freckling if desired)

Body: soft blushing, freckling if asked, no hair, basic painting for hands and feet

Realistic/Makeup:

Head: May request specific makeup looks if desired, dark lips and eyes, freckling, skin texturing and dramatic looks. Side burns, hair lines, glitter etc.

Body: Skin texturing all over, freckling, detailed blushing, chest hair (where applicable) and intimate areas (if desired), fingernail painting and skin texturing

Custom/Fantasy styles:

(heavily dependent on discussion first to see if it is a look we are able to complete), Fantasy skin tones, heavy glitter/mica powder, complex makeup looks (‘paintings’ on face/body, heavy eyeliner, tattooing, scars etc.) colored nails, designs etc.

Artist Choice:

Liv will choose what color, look and details will suit the face/full doll and add her own preferences

Please note that we will not: replicate or copy another artists work.

Please look closely at Milkweed and Honey’s previous work in order to determine whether or not it is a style that you desire. By choosing one of the options you acknowledge that it will be created in Liv’s personal style and therefore if you look at her reference work and the style does not match, please understand that we will not change styles in order to match another’s vision. There are many lovely and talented faceup artists that will bound to be one to fit your preferences!

As painting faceups is done by hand, eyebrows, eyelashes etc. will not always be perfectly symmetrical. This is not considered a flaw. Kindly note that ‘knit picking’ is not permitted-- I will not be able to adjust a single eyelash, eyebrow hair, etc.

Please note that we have the right to refuse service without any explanation/if there are are different styles and elements that we are not willing to do.

If you are commissioning a faceup on a Milkweed and Honey head that you are preordering, you may just up load a screenshot of the purchase or something similar to the ‘proof of authenticity’ section

Please note, that “body blushing” option price only includes a doll body excluding the head. If you want both a faceup (for the head only) and body blushing, please select both those options.

Q&A

What should I provide when shipping a BJD head/full doll to be painted?

Doll that is securely packaged and wrapped in bubble wrap. Make sure that hands are securely wrapped and packaged well. If possible, try to ship your head in a small box (you may also leave out the head cap, as this reduces shipping costs) for a single head a 6*4*4 box is good. What pictures should I provide?

Please do not send AI generated content as those pictures will be disregarded.

You may send up to 3 pictures (or 1 collage with 3 pictures included) per head. Pictures may include:

-picture of a person (photo or drawing) which contain the basic idea of what you are looking for

-picture of expression

-color palette

For proof of authenticity, please upload at least one photo of proof that your sculpt is legitimate. This can be either a picture of the COA, head marking, email/order receipts, or other proofs.

When do I ship out my head(s)?

Please ship out packages in the time frame that will be given you once your form is submitted or your faceup may be canceled/moved to the next available slot.

When do I get to see progress pictures?

Progress pictures will be shown only once at the midway point unless details need more discussion (depending on faceup). I will not be able to change anything as I will have used the reference provided to paint the face UNLESS there is something you’d like to add, but removing things at this point is not ideal.

When will my faceup(s) be done?

 Turn-around time is 5-10 weeks, but if for any reason it will take longer, I will let you know asap!
